Removing the Integrated Control Engine (ICE)

Removing the Integrated Control Engine (ICE) from the System Cabinet.

Procedure

  1. From the Common Service Desktop, turn off the ICN(s) (see ICN On/Off Procedure).
  2. Turn off the System power. See System Cabinet PDU Main Breaker LOTO Procedure.
  3. Remove L Upper Front Cover and R Upper Front Cover. See SC Cover Removal.
  4. Remove the ICE as follows:
    1. Carefully move the cables out of the way, and slide the ICE out.

  5. Press the release tabs in on each side and pull the ICE forward.

    Note: Hold the ICE carefully when you remove it so that it does not fall.
  6. Detach the slide rails from the ICE High Level Assembly (HLA) and install them to the new FRU.
