The four coil connector mounting screws are located at the end of the coil. Remove the four screws.

Remove the coil connector by pulling the coil connector housing away from the coil in the inferior direction.

CAUTION

Possible Electrostatic Damage

Removing the coil cable and top cover exposes ESD-sensitive components.

Use all applicable ESD prevention procedures (including a ESD grounding wrist strap) when handling the coil.

Remove the six cable assembly screws and the cable assembly, then remove the four cover screws and the top cover.

Turn the top cover over and remove the six top post block screws, then remove the top post block assembly. Replace the parts as needed.

Reassemble the coil using the steps above.

Exercise the locking mechanism on the top of the coil housing by moving the latch handle back and forth to unlock/lock the coil. The lock must not loosen or unlock during the course of an examination.

(For flat table) Refer to 3.0T HD 8–Channel Wrist Array Coil Operator Manual, Locking the Coil (Invivo part number 4535-303-0503).
Place the baseplate riser onto the baseplate aligned with the knob location and slide the baseplate riser into the locked position.
