Table 5 Safety
  • warning
  • Personal Injury possibility!
  • severe personal injury can occur if table is accidentally lowered during maintenance performance.
  • when performing maintenance on the table in its up position, ensure that the lock bar is safely in place.
  • warning
  • FERROUS MATERIAL!
  • ROTARY PUMP CONTAINS STEEL. THE PUMP'S PRIMARY SUBSTANCE IS STEEL AND POSES EXTREMELY DANGEROUS PROJECTILE HAZARD IF WORKING IN MAGNET ROOM.
  • ENSURE YOU ARE PERFORMING the Pump replacement OUTSIDE OF the MAGNET ROOM.

Overview

Visit the MR Service Documentation Website to view three different video clips showing the process to:

  • Replace the rotary pump

  • Drain the table hydraulic fluid

  • Remove air bubbles

note:

These videos are for reference only and are not intended to replace the existing service manual procedures. Refer to Patient Table Hydraulic Rotary Pump Replacement and Hydraulic Fluid Level Check and Fill for detailed instructions.

Procedure

  1. Replace the rotary pump. Refer to the Replace Rotary Pump video on the MR Service Documentation Website.
  2. Replace the hydraulic fluid only. Refer to the Replace Hydraulic Fluid Only video on the MR Service Documentation Website.
    note:

Three points to be aware of during the video:

    • To unclip the hose clamp, twist the clip ends in opposite directions

    • Note the point in the video when the hose end is covered to prevent hydraulic fluid from draining

    • The fluid height in the reservoir will change depending on the height of the table. For the final fill, the table is raised to full height—ensure the reservoir is only half-full

  3. Extract air bubbles from the hydraulic lines. Refer to the Extract Air Bubbles video on the MR Service Documentation Website.
