Warning

FERROUS MATERIAL HAZARD!!

THE PULLEY ASSEMBLY CONTAINS PARTS MADE WITH FERROUS COMPONENTS. HOLDING THIS ASSEMBLY TOO CLOSE TO THE MAGNET BORE WILL FORCIBLY ATTRACT IT TO THE MAGNET.

TO PREVENT POSSIBLE BODILY INJURY, OR DAMAGE TO COMPONENTS, REMOVE THE ASSEMBLY DIRECTLY, NOT MOVING IT IN THE MAGNETIC FIELD MORE THAN IS NECESSARY.

Procedure

Warning

cutting the gear belt outside of magnet Room.

Cut the new Gear Belt length to 19.0ft (594cm).

Move the LPCA to the rear end of the rear pedestal and undock the patient table.
Detach the cradle from the LPCA.
System Power must be turned OFF. Refer to System Cabinet PDU Main Breaker LOTO Procedure.
Remove following covers.
- R/L Rear pedestal covers (Refer to Rear Pedestal Cover.)
- LPCA cover (Refer to LPCA Cover Removal.)
Release drive belt tension by flipping lever under rear pedestal.

Remove the two belt clamps of from LPCA. Refer to illustration. (see Figure 2)
Remove the belt from the pulleys of rear pedestal.

Note:
When withdrawing the belt, bind the new belt at the end with tape.
Remove the old gear belt.
Reinstall gear belt by reverse order of removal.

Finalization

Procedure

Verify that Cradle moves in and out fully and smoothly.
Perform Signal to Noise - Head Scan.
