Installing the secondary latch actuating cable

Procedure

Insert the new cable through the cable casing.

Route the cable through the cable casing to the push rod.

Note: Do not secure the set screw too tightly, and be cautious to prevent the cable from scratching before adjustment. Use the set screw for course adjustment and the threaded cable adjuster for fine adjustment.
Loop the cable twice through the hole in the push rod and secure with the set screw. Tighten securely to prevent the cable from slipping.
