Adjusting the secondary latch

Adjusts the height of the secondary latch to within tolerance.

Procedure

  1. Dock the table.
  2. Push the cradle into the bore until the secondary latch is exposed.

  3. Use the threaded cable adjuster to adjust the cable such that the top surface of the secondary latch pin is 0 to 3 mm below the surface of the latch housing.
    Note: A measurement of 0 - 3 mm is within specification for the secondary latch pin. However, a value of 0 - 1 mm must be entered in ICW for this measurement.

  4. Undock the table.
  5. Press and hold the Dock pedal to override the primary latch and push the cradle approximately 80 mm off the tabletop surface.
  6. Push and hold the rod button and pull the cradle off the tabletop surface until the cradle is clear of the secondary latch.

  7. Make sure the latch pin is a minimum of 6.35 mm above the latch housing.
  8. Adjust the cable until the docked and undocked measurements are both within limits.
  9. Tighten the lock nut on the cable adjuster.
  10. Cut the excess length off of the cable.
