Finalizing replacing the strain relief

Routes the pneumatic patient alert tube through the new strain relief.

Procedure

  1. Align the pneumatic patient alert tube with the strain relief.

  2. Press the tube into the slot of the strain relief.

  3. Rotate the pneumatic patient alert tube ninety degrees counterclockwise.

  4. Gently push the pneumatic patient alert tube connector onto the appropriate table connector until it clicks.

  5. Dock the table.
  6. Set the pneumatic patient alert control box steady/pulse switch to Pulse.

  7. Compress the squeeze bulb slowly until its fully collapsed.
  8. Make sure the red LED on the control box is lit, and the audible alarm is emitting a pulsating tone.
  9. Set the control box steady/pulse switch to Steady.
  10. Make sure the red LED on the control box remains lit, and the audible alarm is emitting a steady tone.
  11. Press the Reset button on the control box.
  12. Make sure the red LED on the control box and the audible alarm are off, but the green LED remains lit.
  13. Examine the squeeze bulb-tubing interface for wear. If the tubing becomes separated from the squeeze bulb (i.e. gets caught in the table), reinsert the tubing onto the coupler, otherwise replace with the appropriate FRU.
