MEMS DCPS Replacement

Prerequisites

Disclaimer:

Software version PX29 and later introduces support for a non-MEMS system configuration. Existing or upgraded systems will continue to use the MEMS power supply. Newly installed or upgraded systems may not have the MEMS power supply. Identify the presence or absence of MEMS on your system by looking for the MEMS DC Power Supply Assembly (part number 6859128) in the power supply rack of the ISC.

Procedure

  1. Remove DCPS cable bracket.
    1. Loosen two screw.
    2. Rotate up a little at right side and remove the bracket.
    Figure 2. DCPS cable bracket
  2. Disconnect the following cable connectors which are routed from DCPS for MEMS. If necessary, cut the tie wraps.
    • P/N 6859013 (To PDU AC)

    • P/N 6859035 (To Driver Module J17, DPP Rx-Dist J17)

    • P/N6859059 (To Filter J3)

    • P/N 6859076 (To Cabinet Monitor J16)

  3. Remove the MEMS DC power supply from ISC.
    1. Loosen one screw tightening power supply and chassis.
    2. Slide out the tray.
    Figure 3. DCPS for MEMS
  4. Restore new MEMS DC power supply by the reverse order of removal.
  5. Restore the ISC by the reverse order of the removal.
  6. Tighten the screw that attaches the DCPS to the bracket.

Finalization

  1. Restore the Power. Refer to Removing LOTO - ISC.
  2. Perform Check Scan.
