About this task

The MCQA test for the 3.0T GEM RT Open Array uses the 3.0T phantoms, which are pink. (Disregard phantom color in the illustrations, which are meant for positioning reference only.) The PA coil also needs to be installed.

Note:

Coils do not ship with phantoms. Phantoms come in a unified phantom set with the MR system.

Procedure

  1. Position the GEM RT open array coil on the GEM table.
Figure 1. Position Coil on GEM Table
  2. Place two TL unified phantoms with the GEM RT open array on the GEM table.
    1. Confirm that the alignment notch on the PA phantom positioner faces toward the bore, and that the side opposite of the alignment notch embraces the TL unified phantoms.
Figure 2. Position Phantom with Notch Closest to Bore
    2. Confirm that the edge of the lower portion of the PA phantom positioner aligns with the edge of the GEM RT open array.

  3. Run Multi-Coil Quality Assurance Tool. In the Current Coil field, confirm that 3.0T_GEM_RT is selected.
