Doing the ambient temperature sensor replacement

After completing the tasks for the required conditions, replace the ambient temperature sensor.

About this task

The ambient temperature sensor is located at the rear of the right center cover. A small hole in the rear of the cover allows the sensor to measure the surrounding temperature.

Procedure

  1. Disconnect the ambient temperature sensor cable from the M3350 cable.

  2. Loosen the set screw to release the sensor from the port hole block on the cover.
  3. Cut the tie wrap.
  4. Remove the sensor.
  5. Install the new sensor in the port hole block on the cover.
  6. Tighten the set screw to secure the sensor in place.
  7. Mount the cable to the cover with a new tie wrap.
  8. Connect the new ambient temperature sensor cable to the M3350 cable.

Finalization

After LOTO is removed, make sure the sensor is working by examining the temperature logs.
