Installing the Dual Drive Transmit Receive Switch (DTRSW) and two-channel preamp

Install a Dual Drive Transmit Receive Switch (DTRSW) and two-channel preamp in the magnet outer electronics.

Safety

Procedure

  1. While carrying the module into the magnet room, make sure to stay as far away from the magnet as possible.
  2. Secure the module.
    OptionDescription
    Installing the two-channel preamp (new or existing)Align the two-channel preamp over the four screws on the DTRSW, and tighten the four nuts to secure the two-channel preamp to the DTRSW.
    Installing the DTRSWPut the DTRSW over the mounting locations on the side electronics plate, and tighten the four screws to secure the DTRSW to the magnet.
    Note: Apply antiseize to mounting screw threads before installation.

  3. Connect all cables that you previously removed to the DTRSW and two-channel preamp.

Finalization

As you do the finalization procedures, only do Calibrating transmit/receive dynamic disable if you replaced the DTRSW. Only follow the Doing system gain calibration (PX28 or later) procedure if you replaced the two-channel preamp.
