Peripheral Pulse Probe Check

About this task

Note: This procedure is used to ensure the Fiber-Optic Peripheral Pulse Probe is functioning correctly.

Procedure

  1. Connect the Peripheral Pulse Probe to the Remote Physical Acquisition Controller (PAC) Assembly.
  2. To perform this test, place the probe on your fingertip.
  3. The Peripheral Pulse bar graph on Magnet Enclosure should display your pulse; If not, first ensure the probe is making contact with your fingertip. If the pulse is not displayed, then either the probe or the PAC hardware is failing.

Finalization

Procedure

  1. Restore the system to patient scanning condition.
  2. Do a check scan to insure proper operation.
