These steps are required for replacement of 5726228 or 5726228-2 with 5808046-2.

    Instructions to remove the Gen2 gradient filter and replace it with a Gen2 gradient filter.
    - Electrical Safety

      Remove the gradient filter from the Integrated System Cabinet (ISC) Penetration Wall (PW) for replacement with a Gen2 gradient filter.

    - Installing gradient cables to the Gen2 gradient filter - scan room
      Steps for preparing the scan room gradient cables for attachment to a Gen2 gradient cable with a ramped magnet.

Replacing the gradient filter

About this task

Procedure

Remove the gradient filter covers from the Gen2 gradient filter.

Note: Save the screws and washers when replacing 5808046-2 with 5808046-2. Discard the screws and washers when replacing 5726228 or 5726228-2 with 5808046-2.

If you are replacing gradient filter:
- 5726228 or 5726228-2 with 5808046-2, reconfiguration of the gradient cable will be required, perform this procedure in order.
- 5808046-2 with 5808046-2, go to Installing the Gen2 gradient filter in the Penetration Panel (PP). No gradient cable reconfiguration should be required.
