Installing the female coupler

Installs the female coupler on the patient table hydraulic rotary pump.

Procedure

  1. Put the mounting base plate on a flat surface.
  2. Install the female coupler into the bearing guide until it sits completely within the bearing guide.
  3. Rotate the female coupler by hand, and make sure that it turns freely and smoothly.
  4. Rotate the mounting base plate assembly and put it on a flat surface with the female coupler down.
  5. Install the bearing stop plate onto the stem of the female coupler.

  6. Install the half coupling onto the stem of the female coupler with the screw visible in the bearing guide cutout.

  7. Make sure that the half coupling is completely seated on the bearing stop plate.
  8. Tighten the screw securing the half coupling to the female coupler.

  9. Install the rotary pump onto the mounting base plate.
    Note: Rotate the pump as necessary to engage the half coupling on the pump shaft with the half coupling on the female coupler.

  10. Apply Loctite #242 to the threads of two long screws.
  11. Install two long screws and two lock washers securing the hydraulic pump to the mounting plate.
