Disconnect the RF body coil air flow sensor housing from the
scan room interface (SRI).

Note:
The illustration below is for reference only; sensor head housings
are not shown.
Figure 2. Air Flow Sensor Assembly Drawing
Locate the RF coil air flow sensor head bracket at approximately the 1 o'clock position on the magnet enclosure.
Figure 3. RF Coil Air Flow Sensor Head Bracket (Front End Bell Removed)
Loosen the two screws securing the sensor head bracket to the display plate.
Figure 4. Screws Securing Bracket to Display Plate
Remove the sensor head bracket from the display plate, and free
the cable from the magnet enclosure.
Carefully disassemble the sensors from the plastic blocks, discard
the failed sensor assembly, and reassemble the new sensors into the
plastic blocks. The old plastic blocks must be reused, because the
sensor FRU does not contain plastic blocks.
Note: Be careful not to touch the exposed sensor elements.
Route the new cable through the magnet enclosure, reattach the sensor head bracket under the two loosened screws, and retighten them.
Note:
Make sure the air flow sensor is all the way behind the front end bell, but not touching the magnet ring (see Figure 3). To adjust, move the sensor head bracket down until the it touches the magnet ring, then move it up 1/16 inch (2 mm).
Reconnect the RF body coil air flow sensor housing to the SRI.
Replace the front and side covers and the skirt by reversing
the procedures listed in Step 1 through Step 3.
Remove LOTO. See the MR Service Safety Manual, PN 5452735.
