If you have any safety concerns at any time, do not begin work or immediately stop work and move to a safe location. Immediately contact your supervisor or site safety officer for instructions on how to proceed. |
Procedure
- Put any phantom in the bore and start a scan or do a check scan. See Doing a check scan.
- While the system is scanning, open the RF screen (scan) room door. Opening the door should cause the system to stop or pause scanning.
- If the scan paused, that indicates the RF screen room door is operating correctly. Check PASS in the ePM form and complete this task.
- If the system did not pause or stop scanning, that indicates the RF screen room door is not operating correctly. Check FAIL in the ePM form. Determine the reason for failure and do the following:
Scenario Steps to take Test fails due to nonexistent or defective switch (determined by testing contacts with multimeter) Inform the person in charge at the site (site manager or operator) and record the following in the ePM Comment Form Comment column: - RF screen door is not functioning.
- Informed to [provide the name of the person in charge of the site].
Switch is connected to ICE J47 and system continues scanning Troubleshoot to try to fix the problem. If the test is being done on a PM, mark both above scenarios as FAIL and open a corrective dispatch to do correction.
Record the correct reason for failure in the ePM Comment Form Comment column.
