Replacing the KASC terminator

Replace the KASC terminator in the Integrated System Cabinet (ISC).

Procedure

  1. From the Common Service Desktop, turn off the ICN(s) (see ICN On/Off Procedure ).
  2. Perform LOTO on the reconstruction equipment. See the MR Service Safety Manual, PN 5452735.
  3. Open the PGR covers.
  4. Pull the terminator out of the front panel of the KASC.

  5. Note:

    Measure resistance of the new terminator and make sure it is approximately 50 ohms.

    Push in the new terminator.

Finalization

  1. Remove LOTO from the reconstruction equipment. See the MR Service Safety Manual, PN 5452735.
  2. Turn the ICNs on per ICN On/Off Procedure .
    Note:

    For the first 3 or 4 minutes, LEDs come on only at the rear of the ICN, next to the power cables. After 3 to 4 minutes, you will hear the ICN fans come on and then the LED at the front of the ICN starts to flash.

  3. Run UPM diagnostics to ensure proper functionality.
  4. Perform a TPS reset, and then do a check scan to make sure the system operates correctly.
