Removing Body Hybrid Splitter

Procedure

  1. Perform LOTO on the PDM-RF power for the system. See the MR Service Safety Manual, PN 5452735.
  2. Make sure the scanner is idle. Select End Exam at any point in the scan process.
  3. Remove the lower side cover and upper magnet side cover to access the body hybrid module.

  4. Remove all connections to the body hybrid assembly.
  5. Remove the 4 screws holding the body hybrid module to the magnet.

  6. Remove the 4 brackets from the old module.
  7. Remove the module from the magnet room, and keep it as far away from the magnet as possible.

Installing Body Hybrid Module

Procedure

  1. Attach the new brackets to the new body hybrid module.
  2. Move the module into the magnet room, and keep it as far away from the magnet as possible.
  3. Reconnect all cables to the body hybrid.
  4. Install the brackets from the old module onto the new module.
  5. Secure the module to the magnet by tightening the 4 screws provided.
  6. Replace all covers in reverse order.
  7. Remove LOTO and reapply power to the system. See the latest revision of the MR Service Safety Manual, PN 5452735.
