Prepare to connect devices to IPM
Learn how to prepare to connect devices an IPM implementation.
About this task
During an IPM implementation, you will need to provide information about the customer's network to s who will Connect imaging devices to IPM and schedule time for them to perform those activities.
To enable a (FE) to perform imaging device connection activities:
Procedure
- Provide the FE the customer network information you collected in Prepare to connect IPM to the customer network.
- Provide the FE IPM device registration information obtained from the or .

- Obtain the imaging device details from the (for details, see topic Identify devices).
- Consult the Imaging Device Model and Software Version Compatibility Matrix (for details, see topic Documentation access).
- Specify this information for each imaging device to be added to specified sites in this IPM implementation:

- Arrange time to register IPM on imaging devices:
- Work with the customer to schedule downtime on the imaging devices.
- Communicate the device downtime schedules to the required GE team members and obtain their commitment to attend.
- Ensure the GE team members review the device registration procedures in advance (for details, see part Connect devices to IPM).
