Installing Service Packs

When GE releases new software versions, it may be necessary to install updates to a host PC.

Updates are loaded after MR apps and service software have been loaded. Service Packs must be loaded at root level (applications not up).
Table 5 Safety

Before working in any GE Healthcare MR suite or performing any GE Healthcare service procedure, you must:

  • Have read and understood all hazard conditions and safety requirements in the latest revision of the GE Healthcare MR Service Safety Manual (5452735).
  • Have successfully completed all relevant GE Healthcare Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) courses (or for non-GE employees, equivalent workplace training courses).
  • Comply with all site-specific training and workplace safety requirements.

If you have any safety concerns at any time, do not begin work or immediately stop work and move to a safe location. Immediately contact your supervisor or site safety officer for instructions on how to proceed.
important: Make sure that the latest Service Pack is loaded. See the latest revision of the MR Software Release Matrix, DOC1667089, available from the online documentation library.
note: The Remote Software Download application can manage software updates and install them automatically. Refer to Configuring Remote Software Download for more information.
important: Open the “Read Me” file to identify any special procedures that need to be completed in order to install the service pack.
