Reenroll a device from IPM (IPM Device Registration User)
Learn how to reenroll an imaging device in IDAM.
About this task
Imaging devices at the customer facility must be enrolled in the on the before you can exchange protocols between them. (for details, see Enroll an imaging device in IPM).
You may need to reenroll a device if the previous credentials were deleted or corrupted on the imaging device, or if you are upgrading the device software. You perform this process in tandem with a , who will complete the necessary steps in the imaging device while you perform these steps in the IPM application (for details, see Enroll an imaging device in IPM).
After the initial implementation, do not reenroll a device without the customer's prior approval. Work with the customer on a plan to reenroll the device, identifying any protocols that are on the imaging device but not yet imported into , considering possible risks of data loss, and outlining steps to recover any such protocol changes on the device after reenrolling the device.
This reenrollment process removes the original enrollment credentials, which provide authorization for the exchange of data, stored on the imaging device. cannot connect to the imaging device until the completes their part of the reenrollment process on the device.
To reenroll an imaging device with :
Procedure
- Sign in to IPM.
- Import protocols from a device to IPM to confirm network communications are working.
- In the IPM menu panel, select .
- Locate the desired device and in the Status column, click Reenroll.
- When the label changes to Cancel reenroll, send the the new enrollment code they need to reenroll on the imaging device.
- Await confirmation from the that has been successfully activated on the imaging device.
- In the IPM Settings content area, confirm:
- Activated is displayed in the State field.
- A green check mark is displayed in the Status field indicated that the device is connected.
- The remaining fields have been populated in :
- Modality: CT or MR
- Model: device model
- Hospital: device location in the facility
- Confirm to the that the device reenrollment process is complete.
