Import protocols from a device to IPM

Learn how to import protocols from an imaging device into IPM.

You use the () application to import protocols from an imaging device as a configuration check during an initial implementation.

CAUTION: For subsequent operation and maintenance, ensure you obtain approval from the customer before importing protocols to . Protocol changes not yet saved could be lost if there is a connectivity issue between the imaging device and the application on the . Before servicing the device for any issues that may arise, use appropriate external media (for example, a USB stick or DVD) to make a manual backup of the protocols on the device (including an independent console).

To import protocols from an imaging device into the Devices view:

Procedure

  1. Sign in to IPM.
  2. In the CT or MR modality menu, select Devices > All devices.
  3. In the Devices list, select the check box for the imaging device from which you want to import protocols.
  4. On the action bar, select Import.

    Result

    A spinner is displayed by the device name and Import is in progress is displayed in the Action panel to indicate the import status. A message indicating the protocol import has been scheduled is displayed.
