Finalizing computer or drive replacement

Follow this procedure to finalize a computer or hard drive replacement.

Procedure

  1. Make sure that the host computer front panel power LED is illuminated as a steady blue signal.
  2. Install the system software. Refer to Installing host system software (quick start).
    Note: Load From Cold (LFC) must be completed to properly transfer customer options.
    Note: At completion of the software load, refer to MR Service Pack Software Matrix (DOC1667089) available from the online documentation library and make sure that the necessary service pack media (if any) is installed.
  3. Update the software eLicense with the new host ID. See Installing software options with eLicense generated keys.
  4. Do a check scan to confirm the system and applications are working correctly. See Doing a check scan.
  5. Make sure all customer functions are operational (auto voice, filming, network, archive).
  6. If you have replaced the computer or a component, repackage it for return.
