Edison Cloud description

Learn about Edison Cloud for onboarding IPM at a customer site.

is a cloud-based application. Understanding how the fits in the platform might make easier to understand.

GE Health Cloud applications

You will use two applications to onboard :

  • Create sites for a , provide access to user accounts, and manage connections between the application and onsite imaging devices.

  • Manage , user accounts, devices, applications, subscriptions, and your own user account profile

You must have an account to access these applications. For details, see Cloud accounts for GE Service member IPM roles.

Edison Cloud organizations and sites

An implementation involves two organizations:
  • GE Healthcare organization

    There is one already set up for each commercial environment (for example, CHINA). Each GE Healthcare organization can support multiple s in its commercial environment.

  • Each customer has its own organization (we'll use "Compass Healthcare System" as an example in this ). Each can have multiple sites. We'll use, North Park Medical Center, East Park Medical Center, South Park Medical Center, and West Park Medical Center as examples in this (for details, see IPM Onboarding examples).

Edison Cloud accounts

An creates account usernames and associates them with the email addresses of s or s.

It is a good idea to create account usernames that reflect the role this user account will perform. This will make it easier for you to determine in to which accounts to assign particular roles without the need to maintain a separate mapping table of user email addresses and roles. For a list of examples used in this , see IPM Onboarding examples.

These accounts are in addition to an account you may already have based on your GE email address. The may also assign an IPM service role to your individual account to provide you access for ongoing support for the .

Administrators will invite s and s to create these accounts when they Create IPM accounts for GE Service members and Create initial IPM accounts for customers.

Edison Cloud user groups

You can create user groups to provide the same access permisisons to several accounts at the same time. The will advise which s members to include in any User Groups, so that they can log in to with an account appropriate for the they need to perform. Edison Cloud access permissions

The () application enables administrators to manage administrator and user accounts with role-based application subscriptions:
  • Organization permissions: Permissions to access organizations. In our examples:
    • for for Compass Healthcare System and its North Park Medical Center, East Park Medical Center, South Park Medical Center, and West Park Medical Center sites.
    • GE Healthcare organization for a commercial environment.
