Checking information

Verify the current configurations and files that have been saved.

Prerequisites

Required Conditions
Have the SaveInfo media available for use.
A Class M SSA key or Class C/A2 SSA soft key license is needed to access Guided Install from SIGNA applications. It is not needed when launched as Root. Refer to Service licensing for information on how to install an SSA soft license.

About this task

CheckInfo is automatically performed as part of the SaveInfo process. There is no reason to perform CheckInfo after SaveInfo has completed successfully.

Procedure

  1. Launch Guided Install.
    If needed, see Accessing Guided Install for more information.
  2. In the left navigation pane, go to Utilities > Save/Restore.
  3. Insert the SaveInfo media into the drive.
  4. From the Save/Restore screen, click Check Information.
    While the media is being checked, a verification progress message is displayed. The verification run takes about two minutes.
    Note: If the media is not recognized, an error message is displayed. Verify that the media is in the drive and click Retry.
  5. Click Yes when prompted to view the log after verification is complete.
    If errors are reported, the SaveInfo likely failed. Repeat the process.
