Learn about GE Health Cloud for onboarding IPM at a customer site.

GE Health Cloud applications

You will use two applications to onboard :
  • Connect imaging devices in a customer facility to their implementation.

  • Manage organizations, sites, users, and role-based access permissions.

You must have a account to access these organizations and applications. For details, see GE Health Cloud role-based access permissions.

GE Health Cloud organizations and sites

An implementation involves two organizations:
  • There is one already set up for each commercial environment (for example, EU or USCAN). Each can support multiple s in its commercial environment.

  • Each customer has its own organization (we'll use "Compass Healthcare" as an example). Each can have multiple sites (for example, North Park, East Park, South Park, and West Park).

GE Health Cloud Accounts

accounts are based on email addresses. Each email address can have only one account. To enable multiple s to work on various , s create unique email distribution list accounts in GE Identity Manager (IDM) for each role at a particular customer installation. The make s members of the distribution list, so that they can log in to with an account appropriate for the they need to perform. For example:

These shared distribution list accounts are in addition to your own account based on your GE email address. The or may also assign and permissions to your individual , for such as completing the bootstrapping process.

GE Health Cloud access permissions

The () enables administrators to manage administrator and user accounts and privileges with two types of roles-based access permissions:
  • Organization and Site permissions: Permissions to access organizations and component sites, for example:
    • for for Compass Healthcare and its North Park, East Park, South Park, and West Park sites
    • for the USCAN commercial environment
