Procedure
- This procedure is used to ensure the Fiber-Optic Peripheral Pulse Probe is functioning correctly.
- The Peripheral Pulse Probe is connected to the port located on the Patient Monitor hook on the left side of the magnet.
- To perform this test, place the probe on your fingertip.
- The Peripheral Pulse bar graph should display your pulse on the Enclosure display or on the IRD monitor, as customized. If not, first ensure the probe is making contact with your fingertip. If the pulse is not displayed, then either the probe or the PAC hardware is failing.

- Do a check scan to insure proper operation.
