About this task

This procedure provides instruction to properly:
  • Inspect the hoses and valves to ensure that they are correctly installed.
  • Fill the gradient coil and power electronics tanks in the Heat Exchange Cabinet (HEC) with a deionized water solution. (Usually, the gradient coil tank is filled before the power electronics tank.)
  • Check the valves for leaks after the pumps are activated and the fluid is circulating.
  • Check the joints are located outside of cabinet perimeters.
Note: If you are doing Planned Maintenance, please execute this procedure completely when you see significant coolant loss (more than a gallon) or any pump leak issues. Otherwise perform only the Filling the coolant procedure to top off the coolant tanks.
