Loading Host System Software (Quick Start) (DV26.0 or earlier)
This quick-start guide provides an overview of the procedures required to load host system software for each software version. Refer to the linked procedures for detailed information.
If the system is staged or SFIed (Sub-assembly For Install) from the factory, then the system has the following items pre-installed. Staged or SFIed GOC will bear a yellow color label and the staged GOC will come with a factory Save Info DVD. There is no need to reinstall the SW at the site for these systems, except for the ‘@ Site’ items highlighted in red in Table 1.
| SW Items/Part | GOC- Staged | GOC SFI |

(For China only) : The software collector for China may contain multiple applications DVDs for a single DV release. (For example: The software collector for DV24 contains applications DVDs for DV22, DV23, and DV24, but each DVD contains only DV24 software. In this example, the getver command would show only DV24 software.) During installation, record the intended software release on the maintenance label, and install the software using the DVD whose label matches that release. See About MR Scanner for instructions on viewing the software installed at a given site.

Note:
Verify that the latest service pack is loaded at the end of the system load procedure. See the latest revision of MR Service Pack Software Matrix, DOC1667089, available from the online documentation library. See Installing Service Packs for more information on loading service packs.

During upgrade to DV26 from an earlier DV version, E-Stop may be triggered (during the first boot-up) due to a timeout waiting for the TFTP server that causes the PEM board to revert to safe mode. To recover from this, press the EMO Reset on PDU and perform a TPS reset. |
