Checking off ICW PAC items

PAC Checks is one of the final steps in the installation portion of the Installation and Calibration Wizard (ICW), though it can be done at any time during the installation.

Before working in any GE Healthcare MR suite or performing any GE Healthcare service procedure, you must:

  • Have read and understood all hazard conditions and safety requirements in the latest revision of the GE Healthcare MR Service Safety Manual (5452735).
  • Have successfully completed all relevant GE Healthcare Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) courses (or for non-GE employees, equivalent workplace training courses).
  • Comply with all site-specific training and workplace safety requirements.

If you have any safety concerns at any time, do not begin work or immediately stop work and move to a safe location. Immediately contact your supervisor or site safety officer for instructions on how to proceed.

About this task

The following tasks must be completed while doing PAC checks.
  • Peripheral pulse probe check
  • ECG leads checks
  • Respiratory compensation checks

Procedure

  1. Insert the service key.
  2. Launch the service browser (Common Service Desktop).
  3. Click the Calibration tab.
    • If in install or upgrade mode, select Install and Calibration Wizard and Click here to start this tool.

    Result

    The PAC Checks screen is displayed. PAC Checks is one of the final steps in the ICW.

  4. Checking the peripheral pulse probe. When completed, check the box next to "Is Peripheral Pulse Probe Check completed?"
  5. Checking the ECG leads ordered by the customer. When completed, check the box next to "Is ECG Leads checked?"
  6. Checking the respiratory gating signal. When completed, check the box next to "Is Respiratory Checks Done?"
  7. Click Submit.
