PA Coil Handling Caution

TDI Posterior Array Coil is a static-sensitive part, it is easily to be destroyed by the static electricity. When field engineer need to perform troubleshooting for TDI Posterior Array Coil or TDI Posterior Array Coil Replacement or perform ICW Coil Data Path Diagnostic for TDI PA Port-E and so on, a wrist strap is required to avoid the static electricity.

Figure 1. Wrist Strap

The ground point for antistatic wrist strap could be any place on the metal frame of table. Figure 3 show the recommended ground point, due to its accessibility.

Note:

Remove the TT bottom cover with 4 screws as Figure 2. You can fix the clamp on the position showed as Figure 3.

Before plugging/unplugging PA coil cables on Port-E, especially when performing ICW Coil Data Path Diagnostic for TDI PA Port-E, please make sure to perform LOTO for ISC.

Note:

Connectors on PA coil must be plugged in from C1 to C3 order and unplugged in C3 to C1 order.

Note:

Please do not switch off/on DPP breaker separately because this could cause impulse to PA coil, which may damage the elements.
