Synchronizing NTP server time

Network Time Protocol (NTP) server configuration can be done to synchronize the MR scanner date and time automatically with an NTP server available on-site. An NTP server and IP address are required.

Required conditions
The procedure in this document requires that the site has an NTP-based time server. During the procedure, you will need to enter the IP address of the NTP server. Before you begin, get this address from the site's network administrator or IT department personnel.
Safety

Before working in any GE Healthcare MR suite or performing any GE Healthcare service procedure, you must:

  • Have read and understood all hazard conditions and safety requirements in the latest revision of the GE Healthcare MR Service Safety Manual (5452735).
  • Have successfully completed all relevant GE Healthcare Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) courses (or for non-GE employees, equivalent workplace training courses).
  • Comply with all site-specific training and workplace safety requirements.
