Connecting to the ePO server using the Command Line Interface

Procedure

Obtain ePO server details from the customer – Server name, IP Address, Port Number & User Name, Password or Certificate.
Click C Shell... on the Service Desktop manager.

Note: The Shell window can only be launched when the EA3 user is included in the authorized EA3 group. Users not in this EA3 group will not have access to launch the Shell window. If you are not logged on as the proper logon user, log out and then log back on as the correct EA3 user with the authorized permissions.
Log in as a root user.
1. Type su - and press Enter.
2. Type the root password and press Enter.
In the root terminal type vi /opt/McAfee/agent/bin/epoDetails/SiteList.xml and press Enter.
Enter the information collected in step 1 in the file.
Save and close the file (Esc, :wq, hit enter).
