Setting up for HOEC calibration scan for DV26.0 or earlier

About this task

This procedure is for systems running DV26.0 or earlier.

Procedure

  1. Set up and align the LVShim phantom. Align the phantom so that:
    1. The phantom’s seam is oriented perpendicular to the table.
    2. The phantom’s z-axis is along the length of the cradle.
    3. The phantom is centered left to right with respect to the cradle top.

  2. Landmark on the LVShim phantom crosshairs.
  3. Press Advance to Scan.
  4. Start the HOEC tool from the Common Service Desktop on the Calibration tab.
    1. Select Calibration > Calibration Wizard.
    2. After the Calibration Wizard starts, select HOEC Calibration from the menu.
    3. Review the pre- and post-dependencies. Select Click here to start this tool.

This procedure is for systems running DV29.1 or later.

Procedure

  1. Set up the LVshim center sphere in the middle of the table on the Universal Phantom Pad.
    1. Set the Universal Phantom Pad at the 1080 mm position (from home) on the table and align the white lines on the pad with the alignment lights.
    2. Put the sphere on the pad with the strap (in the groove) in the orientation shown below.

  2. Make sure the laser lights are cross-centered on the universal phantom pad and press the landmark button.
    Note: Due to the tight landmarking tolerance, it is important to align the lasers on the cross lines of the universal positioner before setting the sphere.
  3. Press Advance to Scan.
