Cradle Release from Carriage Adjustment
Prerequisites
This procedure is applicable to the following table products:
-
Signa Lightweight Patient Transport Table
-
Signa Oncology Patient Transport Table Option
-
Signa OR-Compatible Patient Transport Table Option
The head coil carriage mechanism allows the cradle to be released from the head coil carriage by squeezing the handle of the patient cradle. The threaded actuator on the carriage must be adjusted so that the carriage latch hook engages cradle sufficiently, yet allows hook to be raised to release cradle.
Procedure
- Remove head coil carriage cover.
- Dock patient transport.
- Latch carriage to cradle.
- Check that the carriage meets the following criteria:
- Carriage latch hook must be low enough to positively engage cradle.
- Carriage latch hook must be high enough to be disengaged from cradle when cradle handle is squeezed or twisted.
- If needed, adjust Cradle Release Mechanism Tension (see Figure 1).
Refer to Cradle Release Tension Adjustment and Front
Guide Roller Height Adjustment procedure.
