PI Filter Board Replacement

Prerequisites

This procedure provides information on how to:

  • Remove PI Filter Cover
  • Replace PI Filter

1 PI Filter Board Removal

Procedure

    • danger
    • Electrocution hazard.
    • High Voltage present.
    • USE PROPER LOCKOUT/TAGOUT PROCEDURES.
  1. Move table to its lowest elevation.
  2. Remove power to the gantry using proper Lockout/Tagout procedures.
  3. Remove side, top and front gantry covers.
  4. Stop the rotor of X-ray tube in case of Liquid Bearing Tube before HVDC off. Refer to Liquid Bearing Tube Rotor stop procedure for details.
  5. Turn OFF all 3 switches (Axial Drive, HVDC, 120VAC) on the Service Switch Panel.
  6. Rotate the Gantry until the power unit reaches the 3 o’clock position.
  7. Lock the gantry in position, using the rotational lock.
  8. Remove the PI Filter covers (top and side).
  9. Disconnect the 4 cables from the PI Filter board.
  10. Unscrew the 6 screws, and remove the PI Filter board from the Power Unit.

2 PI Filter Board Installation

Procedure

  1. Ensure that Lockout/Tagout procedure has been applied, and that gantry power is removed.
  2. Install new PI Filter board and re-connect all wires.
  3. Replace PI Filter covers.

3 Finalization

Run System Scanning Test verify that the system is operational.
