Power Harness Replacement

Prerequisites

Overview

This procedure provides the following:

  • Remove gantry and collimator covers; disconnect Cam A & B power connectors

  • Replace power harness and reconnect power connectors

  • Replace collimator and gantry covers; finalize

  • warning
  • Potential for Shock.
  • Voltage may be present.
  • Use proper lockout/tagout procedures before replacing components.
note:

Please check the component P/N when replace the collimator related parts, should be ordered the same P/N according to the label on each component.

Procedure

  1. Remove gantry power. Be certain to follow appropriate Lockout/Tagout procedures.
  2. Remove the gantry side, top and front cover.
  3. Turn OFF all 3 switches (AXIAL DRIVE ENABLE, HVDC ENABLE, 120 VAC) on the Service Switch Panel.
  4. Position the gantry with the X-Ray Tube at six-o'clock.
  5. Remove the top cover from the Collimator by removing the pan head mounting screws with spring washers.
  6. Cut the tie-wraps holding down the Power Harness.
  7. Disconnect the Cam A motor drive power connector.
  8. Disconnect the Cam B motor drive power connector.
  9. Disconnect J12 from CCB.
  10. Remove Power Harness and place in packaging to return.
  11. Place the new Power Harness on the frame.
  12. Connect J12 to the CCB.
  13. Connect the Cam A motor drive power connector.
  14. Connect the Cam B motor drive power connector.
  15. Tie-wrap the Power Harness.
  16. Replace the top cover of the Collimator using the pan head mounting screws with spring washers and tighten.

Finalization

  1. Perform CAM A/B Amplifier Check procedure.
