Power Harness Replacement

Prerequisites

Overview

Procedure

  1. Remove the following gantry covers: side, top and front cover.
    • Side covers.

    • Top covers.

    • Front cover.

    • danger
    • Electrocution hazard
    • High Voltages present.
    • Use proper lockout/tagout procedures before replacing components. See safety menu of Service Document gui for appropriate procedures.
  2. Turn OFF all 3 switches (Axial Drive, HVDC, 120 VAC) on the STC backplane. Perform Lockout Tagout prior to continuing.
    • danger
    • CRUSH HAZARD.
    • UNEXPECTED GANTRY ROTATION CAN CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY.
    • Never service the gantry with the axial drive enabled. Use the gantry rotation lock to lock out gantry rotation. See safety menu of Service Document gui for appropriate procedures.
  3. Position the gantry with the XRT at 6 o'clock.
  4. Remove the top cover from the Collimator by removing the five pan head 4x8mm mounting screws with spring washers.
  5. Cut the ty-raps holding down the Power Harness.
  6. Disconnect the Cam A motor drive power connector.
  7. Disconnect the Cam B motor drive power connector.
  8. Disconnect J12 from CCB.
  9. Remove Power Harness and place in packaging to return.
  10. Place the new Power Harness on the frame.
  11. Connect J12 to the CCB.
  12. Connect the Cam A motor drive power connector.
  13. Connect the Cam B motor drive power connector.
  14. Ty-Rap the Power Harness.
  15. Replace the top cover of the Collimator using the five pan head mounting screws with spring washers and tighten.

Finalization

  1. Perform CAM A,B Amplifier Check.
  2. Perform CAM A,B Encoder Check.
