ICOM Board Replacement

Prerequisites

Overview

1 Removal Procedure

Procedure

  1. Select one of the following methods to Power OFF the Operator Console:
    1. If Applications are up, click on the Shut Down button and select Shutdown.

      The Operator Console monitor will display a 'Power Down' message when it is acceptable to power OFF the Operator Console.

    2. If Applications are down, open a Unix Shell. Type: halt.
  2. Power OFF the console at the front panel switch.

  3. Remove the top cover.

    Refer to Replacement > Console > (Console Cover Removal and Installation Procedure).

  4. Remove four screws on the top panel of AC Box Assembly, and remove the top panel.

  5. Disconnect all cable connector from the ICOM board.

  6. Remove six screws, and remove the ICOM board.

2 Installation Procedure

Procedure

  1. Install the new ICOM board into place, and tighten the six screws.
  2. Re-Connect the cable connectors removed in step Step 5.
  3. Power ON the Operator Console.
  4. Adjust the console and table speaker volume; refer to Intercom Adjustment.
  5. Take some scans which need to do prescribed tilt; verify the prescribed tilt function is normal.

3 Finalization

Procedure

  1. Re-Install the console cover.
