Removing software updates

Required conditions
Condition
Load updates after MR apps and service software have been loaded.
Service Packs must be loaded at root level (applications not up).
Invoke Guided Install as root and display the Patches tab. See Invoking Guided Install as root.

Procedure

  1. In the Installed Patches section, select the update to be removed.
  2. Click Uninstall.
    Note: Sometimes an update cannot be uninstalled and an uninstall error shows. It may be necessary to remove another update to resolve the conflict.

Finalization

Do a check scan to make sure that the system is functioning properly. See Doing a check scan.
