Connecting to and testing P-coil port connectors P1, P2, or P4

Connecting to and testing P-coil port connectors P1, P2, or P4.

Procedure

  1. Attach one end of the C4 (P-port adapter) cable to the proper P-coil port connector (P1, P2, or P4).
  2. Attach the other ends to MCRv tool connectors J2, J3, and J4.
    1. Connect the unlabeled cable to MCRv tool connector J2.
    2. Connect the cable labeled RF channels 1-16 to MCRv tool connector J3.
    3. Connect the cable labeled RF channels 17-32 to MCRv tool connector J4.
  3. Run the test. See Running the coil datapath diagnostic.

    Result

If a test fails for P-coil port connectors:
    1. Make sure that the connectors are firmly seated.
    2. Make sure that the screws are properly tightened.
    3. Rerun the test.
    If the test fails again:
    1. Reseat the connectors.
    2. Reseat all test cable connections to the MCRv tool connectors.
    3. Rerun the test.
If the test continues to fail, run the test at the corresponding DPP RRx module.
