Make sure all certificates are installed and set up per workflow MR Scanner setup as secure server in Importing and exporting TLS certificates.

About this task

Use this procedure for software version PX29.0 and later if other network nodes in the hospital are required to send images to the MR system securely through DICOM over TLS. If the MR System is not configured, it will receive DICOM images through DICOM over TCP/IP (unsecure). For more information, see Importing and exporting TLS certificates.

This part of the user interface is only visible when the following script is executed and the system is rebooted:

python /export/home/sdc/nuevo/scripts/util/displaytlsserverconfig.py --displayTLSServerUI=1

Procedure

  1. Click the Image Management icon in the upper left corner of the MR OS window.

  2. In the bottom right corner, select Tools > Network Configuration.
  3. On the Configure Network Hosts window in the Local Server Settings area, select one of the following server modes:
    OptionDescription
SecureIf all networked nodes will send images to the MR System through DICOM over TLS only.
Unsecure and secureIf some networked nodes will send images through DICOM over TLS and others will send images through DICOM over TCP/IP.
Unsecure(Default) The MR System will only accept images through DICOM over TCP/IP.

  4. Reboot the system.
  5. After rebooting, make sure the connection is secure by successfully completing a ping from the client to the server/host.
Note: While in Secure mode and non-mutual authentication, the ping will be successful only from the client to the server/host, and the secure ping from server/host to the client will fail.
