Prerequisites

1 Monitor Replacement

For DVI cable and Power cable, please reuse the one which was originally connected to the previous LCD monitor. Do NOT use the DVI cable and power cable shipped with FRU kit since they are not evaluated for the systems. (Power cable should not be shipped with FRU kit of NEC LCD 2490WUXi2, but if received, do not use new cable.)

Replace the monitor.

2 Calibrate NEC Monitor (For LCD2490WUXi2)

Procedure

See Figure 1 and Figure 2 for control locations and functions.

Name	Description
1 Ambibright Sensor	Detects the level of ambient lighting allowing the monitor to make adjustments to various settings resulting in a more comfortable viewing experience. Do not cover this sensor.
2 Power	Turns the monitor on and off.
3 LED	Indicates that the power is on. Can be changed between blue and green in the Advanced On-Screen Manager (OSM) Control menu.
4 Input/Select	Enters the OSM Control menu. Enters OSM sub menus. Changes the input source when not in the OSM Control menu.
5 Exit	Exits the OSM sub menu. Exits the OSM Control menu.
6 Left/Right*	Navigates to the left or right through the OSM Control menu.
7 Up/Down*	Navigates up or down through the OSM Control menu.
8 Reset/Rotate OSM	Resets the OSM back to factory settings. Pressing when the OSM is not showing rotates the OSM Control menu between portrait and landscape mode.
9 Key Guide	The Key Guide appears on screen when the OSM control menu is accessed. The Key Guide rotates when the OSM control menu is rotated.

* The Left/Right and Up/Down buttons functionality is interchangeable depending on the orientation (landscape/portrait) of the OSM.

To display the Main Menu, press button either 5, 6 or 7.

To save adjustments, press the 5 button.
To exit the menu, press the 5 button again.

3 Gamma Setting (Required only if monitor is replaced from different type)

Procedure

Go to the Service Desktop and start the Service Browser. Select [Configure tab] , then select Guided Install, [FE mode] . Then Click here to [start this tool] . The password is ‘operator’.
Select [System Configure].
Select [LCD] from Display Type and select NEC2490WUXi2 from [Display type] selection.

4 Camera Setting by Vendor (Required only if monitor is replaced from different type)

Camera setting by Camera vendor is required when Display Type is replaced from different type. Arrangements must be made with the customer to adjust camera settings by vendor.
