Main Cradle Latch Cable

Prerequisites

Procedure

  1. Undock patient transport, and move it out of exam room.
  2. Remove upper and lower side covers (see Figure 1).

  3. Remove cradle (see Figure 2).

  4. Loosen set screw at down link clevis. See Figure 3).

  5. Remove four bolts securing cradle latch housing and cradle latch cover (see Figure 4).

  6. Unfasten cable end from down link clevis (see Figure 5).

  7. Pull cable out of latch pin on front of patient transport (see Figure 6).

  8. Insert new cable through head of latch pin so that swaged end fits into hole in latch pin. See Figure 7 for details on installing cable.

  9. Route cable through cable casing and insert through cable clevis (see Figure 8).
  10. Loop cable twice through hole in down link clevis (see Figure 8).
  11. Tighten set screw (see Figure 8).

  12. Return patient transport to exam room.
  13. Dock patient transport.
  14. Adjust cable so that when docked, main latch will be flush with casting. Refer to procedure for Cradle Release Block Retraction Adjustment. Cut off excess length after adjustment is complete. Secure adjustment by tightening lock nut after adjustment is complete (see Figure 9).

  15. Replace cradle and upper and lower side covers. Note position of Signa logo on outer covers and position toward front of table (see Figure 10).

1 Finalization

Procedure

  1. Move the cradle into the magnet entirely. Hold the flipper on the Table and undock the Table. Verify that the stopper is stuck out. Refer to illustration.

    Restore the Cradle onto the table.

  2. Verify that Table can dock and undock smoothly.
  3. Verify that there is no part caught by wire or any movable module.
  4. Place the 80Kg Load evenly on the Cradle. If using the phantom, refer to the following illustration.

  5. Verify that Cradle moves in and out fully and smoothly.
  6. Verify that all of the parts and the screws are installed.
  7. Verify that there is no wound or dirt on the Table, Cradle, Pad, and Patient Strap.
