Grafidy - Zero out
The Zero Out tab clears the eddy current compensation parameters on a system.
The Zero Out tab clears the eddy current compensation parameters on a system.
Components listed follow a naming convention that helps determine which coil(s) to select. The naming convention of the listed components is Mode (short, long, or very long): Donor axis (applied gradient axis), Acceptor axis (spatial axis): Type (linear or B0).
Procedure
- To clear the compensation parameters, select the desired component or components. An item appears selected when it is highlighted.note: For multiple component selections, hold CTRL and Shift as you select your desired components.
- The calibration parameters for the selected components are then cleared in the calibration file /usr/g/caldir/grafidy.cal.
- To quickly select a group view, use the buttons that group information based on a particular gradient axis or all.
- Click Select All to highlight all components listed.
- Click Select Gradient X (or Y or Z) to select all of the components related to pulsing that specific gradient. For example, selecting Select Gradient Y selects the YX, YY, and YZ linear components as well as the YY B0 long and very long components (if Don’t Zero Out Shorts is also selected.
- The Don’t Zero Out Shorts checkbox controls whether the short mode components are selected when using the group selection buttons. The default for this option is to remain marked (on). In this state, the short modes are not selected (unless selected manually from the list). Click the checkbox to toggle the state. When Don’t Zero Out Shorts is not selected, the appropriate short modes are selected when using the group selection options.
