1.5T HDx 12CH Body Array - Single Connector Cable Replacements

Prerequisites

1 Cable Removal

Procedure

  1. Put an ESD wrist strap on and ensure it is grounded.
  2. Place posterior coil patient side down.
  3. Remove the straps.
  4. Remove the 8 screws from the cover at the pelvic end of the coil. There are two screws located under the strap. See Figure 1.

  5. Unscrew cable clamp. See Figure 2.

  6. Locate and disconnect all RF cables coming from the cable trap. See Figure 3.

  7. Locate and remove the DC wire bundle coming from the cable trap. See Figure 3.
  8. Remove the two screws holding the cable trap PCB to the coil. See Figure 3.
  9. Remove the cable from the coil. See Figure 4.

2 Cable Replacement

Procedure

  1. Place strain relief in cut-out. Figure 5.

  2. Align cable trap PCB from the new cable with the screw posts.
  3. Secure the cable trap PCB in place with screws the previously removed nylon screws.
  4. Secure cable clamp over cable until tight with the previously removed brass screws. Figure 6.

  5. Attach the DC wire bundle to J1. Figure 7.

  6. Attach the Clear cable at E1 Out.
  7. Attach the Yellow cable to E5 Out.
  8. Attach the Red cable to E3 Out.
  9. Attach the Orange cable to E4 Out.
  10. Attach the Black cable to E6 Out.
  11. Attach the Brown cable to E2 Out.
  12. Replace the cover.

3 Finalization

Finalization

Perform a MCQA test to ensure the coil still operates properly.
