2 Purpose

The SRI Board Level Diagnostic checks that the SRI’s internal components are functioning properly.

3 Components Tested

The SCP commands the SRI to run a test on the SRI’s internal components. For this system, this diagnostic includes tests that in other systems were stand-alone tests. Table 1 shows the tests that are included in this diagnostic.

EEPROM Test	The SCP commands the SRI to run a checksum test on the SRI’s internal EEPROM chip.	√
Encoder Voltage Test	This test verifies that the voltage across the encoder (measured at the SRI) is greater than 4.0V. The encoder voltage circuit is part of the table motion control function.	√	√
Flash Test	The SCP commands the SRI to run a checksum test on the SRI’s internal flash chip.		√
Motor Controller Test	This test verifies that the motor controller in the SRI is driving the correct motor voltages when commanded to move the cradle. Cradle motion is disabled during this test to prevent any unexpected movement.		√
PWM Test	This test verifies that the Pulse Width Modulator in the SRI is converting pulses to analog voltages correctly.	√
RAM Test	The SCP commands the SRI to run a memory test on the internal SRI RAM. No application data in the SRI is lost when this test is run.	√	√
Register Test	The SCP commands the SRI to run its internal register test routine.	√

4 Requirements

A complete system is required. No special hardware or configurations are necessary.

5 Block Diagrams

Figure 2 shows the diagram for SRI block.

6 Test Sequence

Select SRI Board Level Diagnostics.
Click Run.
Review the status in the Test Results table to confirm that the diagnostic has completed successfully.

7 Expected Results

Output values are judged pass or fail. In the event of failure, the details of the failure are listed in the GE System Log. Review the log and the error messages for subsequent actions.
