Figure 1. RF Amp Diagnostics

2 Purpose

The RF Amp Diagnostic reads the board level information from RF Amp.

This document describes the theory of each test in RF Amplifier Diagnostics.

3 PSU +48V Voltage Measurement Test

This diagnostic provides self-test functions of internal amplifier circuitry. This self-test is performed on a measurement function of PSU +48V Voltage Measurement Circuit. The test signal that is input from the amplifier to control board is replaced by a test voltage that is generated by circuitry on the control board under software control. For Measurement Circuit Test, the diagnostic will inject a test voltage into the measurement circuit, cause an analog to digital conversion to occur, and read and compare the conversion results to an expected value.

4 PSU High Current Measurement Test

This diagnostic provides self-test functions of internal amplifier circuitry. This self-test is performed on a measurement function of PSU High Current Measurement Circuit.

5 Cold Plate Temp. Measurement Test

This diagnostic provides self-test functions of internal amplifier circuitry. This self-test is performed on a measurement function of Cold Plate Temperature Measurement Circuit.

6 Junction Temp. Measurement Test

This diagnostic provides self-test functions of internal amplifier circuitry. This self-test is performed on a measurement function of Junction Temperature Measurement Circuit.

7 Input Power Measurement Test

This diagnostic provides self-test functions of internal amplifier circuitry. This self-test is performed on a measurement function of Input Power Measurement Circuit.

8 Reflect Power Measurement Test

This diagnostic provides self-test functions of internal amplifier circuitry. This self-test is performed on a measurement function of Reflect Power Measurement Circuit.

9 Forward Power Measurement Test

This diagnostic provides self-test functions of internal amplifier circuitry. This self-test is performed on a measurement function of Forward Power Measurement Circuit.

This diagnostic tests the auxiliary PSU voltage (+15 Volts) of internal amplifier.

11 PSU -15 Voltage Test

This diagnostic tests the auxiliary PSU voltage (-15 Volts) of internal amplifier.

12 PSU +48 Voltage Test

This diagnostic tests the auxiliary PSU voltage (+48 Volts) of internal amplifier.

13 PSU High Voltage Test

This diagnostic tests the auxiliary PSU voltage (High Voltage; +165 Volts) of internal amplifier.
