For proper Liquid Bearing Tube rotor management shutdown, follow the Rotor Management Process listed in this procedure.

Shutting down the rotor is necessary before shutting down gantry power.

For top-hinged gantry covers only: If the gantry front cover must be opened for any reason, move the table to HOME and down to the LOAD position using either the gantry keypad or the table RTCB Service panel.
Check the tube type on the system with one of the two options listed below:
1. Check the Common Service Desktop Home Page section for the name of the tube.
2. Open a terminal and type: swhwinfo -t this will return the tube type.
If the tube type is a Quantix 160, stop the rotor before removing power. Refer to Liquid Bearing Tube Rotor Control tool to stop the rotor.
Depending on software version if the tube type is either Pharos or PerformixHDw, ensure that the tube is cool, and then shut down the system power.
