Command Line Troubleshooting

This guide describes and illustrates scripts and commands that can be used for information gathering and troubleshooting. Generally if a script and/or command appears to execute and does not return information or specifically states failure status, one can assume that there is a system fault with related hardware, and that further troubleshooting is indicated.

Host Commands and Troubleshooting Quick Reference Table

  • Test Setups

  • Application Status: If shown, the current state of the CT Applications. If Shutdown is shown, Applications must be shutdown.

  • User Mode: Log on credentials needed to execute command or script.

  • Access Methods:

    • “sh” = Standard Terminal or Shell Command Window

    • “rsh” = Remote Shell Window

      note: You are still required to open a Standard Shell Command Window and type the “rsh xxxxxx” to redirect the command window to the appropriate computer other than the Host.
  • Path: If shown, the required directory where the user must be located to execute command or script.
